James Luther Foley

James Luther Foley, 68, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the Community Hospice Care Center.
He was born December 13, 1950, in Ironton, Ohio, a son of the late Luther J. Foley and Mary Josephine Henley Foley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Foley.
Jim retired after many years of service from Columbia Gas Inc. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Marchika “Marty” Thomas Foley of Ashland; sons, Terrelli (Chantell) Foley of Louisville, KY, and James Luther (Micah) Foley, Jr. of Portsmouth, OH; brother, Jerome (Marscha) Foley of South Point, Ohio; sisters, Dawn (Greg) Paige of Ft. Worth, TX, Denise Bigbee of Johnson City, TN; mother in law, Janet Thomas of Ashland; three grandchildren, Miles, Jacob and Kennedy and a host of loving extended family members and friends.
Per Jim’s request there will not be a visitation or funeral.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel.
