Janet (Horton) Caldwell

Janet Caldwell, 86, of Ashland, KY, passed away at Community Hospice on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
She was born in Elliott County, Kentucky on August 20, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson Horton and Zella Porter Horton; and her husband, Edward Caldwell.
Janet retired from Ashland Oil, Inc. following a 26-year career and was an active member of Second Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory include a brother, Steve Horton of Franklin Furnace, OH; two sisters, Betty Durkey of Troy, OH, and Gwen Thompson of Ashland, KY; niece, Janet Christina Thompson; and a nephew, Brandon Michael Horton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2023 at STEEN FUNERAL HOME CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL with words of comfort provided by Pastor Rock Dearfield. Burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday, at the funeral Home.
