Jeffrey Perry Stutler, 63, of Ashland, passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 at his residence surrounded by those he loved. Jeff was born February 6, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio. Jeff was preceded in death by brothers Eddie Stutler and Scott Lee Stutler, and a sister Kim Stutler Evans.
Jeff attended Gospel Lighthouse in Ashland. He retired from Columbia Gas after 27 years of service. Before that, Jeff worked briefly with the C&O Railroad.
He loved Tomcat football and was a “proud Tomcat fan”. He was a 1976 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School and was nicknamed “Tank” by his friends and coaches. His love of football carried through to the Ashland JFL during the 80’s & 90’s as a supporter and coach to countless young boys in the Ashland area including his own children. He also loved his Alabama Crimson Tide, “Roll Tide”.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents Edmond and Barbara Arledge Stutler of Summit, his loving wife Sheila Blair Stutler and their daughter Jadyn Stutler of Ashland, his sons Jeffrey Perry Stutler, II and companion Rickey Carpenter of Ashland, Wesley Scott Stutler and wife Kelly of Ashland, Ryan J. Stutler and wife Tiffany of Ashland, their mother and best friend to Jeff, Tamra Perkins Stutler of Ashland, his grandchildren he adored Jordan Leigh Stutler, Gavin Stutler, Tanner Stutler, Emaleigh Stutler, Laney Stutler, Molly Griffith, Amber Parks and Jacob Whaley, great grandchildren Harley and Hudson, his brother Barry Stutler of South Point, OH, his sister Cindy Stutler Runyon and companion Greg Stoess of Ashland and many nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends.
A private memorial service will be held at Crum Chapel in Ashland. Chaplain Jimm Smedley will honor the family with words of comfort.
