Joan Vaye Shelton

Joan Vaye Shelton, 77, of Flatwoods, KY, passed away at Oakmont Manor on March 25, 2021. She was born on March 5, 1944 in Ashland, KY to the late Herbert and Lucille Hall Shelton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Donna Shelton and a granddaughter Nicki Grubb.
She was formerly a general manager at K-Mart and was of the protestant faith.
Joan is survived by her children Charles B. Hickman and wife Kim of Rio Rancho, NM, Shelly Knopf and husband Mike of Zephryhills, FL and Penny Lares and husband Jose of El Paso, TX, grandchildren Heather Peters, Ashley Smith, Carlos Tarin and Jennifer Tarin, nine great grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
