John David Savage

John David Savage, 77, of Ashland, went to his heavenly father on Friday, October 9, 2020, surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and family.

He was born October 10, 1942 in Ashland, KY, a son of the late David and Louise Watson Savage.

He was a retired employee of the United States Post Office. He loved Jesus, spending time with his family and going to the beach and shark tooth hunting. He was an avid UK Fan.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife that he adored for 57 years, Linda Day Savage of Ashland; two daughters, Lisa (Jim) Burlew of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Teresa (Steve) Crooks of Catlettsburg, KY; and his grandchildren that he cherished, Brianna (Derek) Zimmerman and Kylie Crooks.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Pastor Steve Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
