John W. Wellman

John William Wellman, 62, of Ashland, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. John was a devoted father, son and brother.
He was born October 26, 1956 in Ashland, a son of the late Billy G. and Betty Triplett Wellman. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister Deborah Wellman.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children Kaelyn Wellman and Billy Tucker Wellman and fiancé Haley, his sister Mara Kleczinski and husband Terry, a grandson Nolan Wellman, a niece Abbey Kleczinski and a host of extended family, good friends and co-workers.
John was a 1974 graduate of Franklin County High School and attended the University of Kentucky. John started his career in the Petroleum field with Ashland Chemical in Dublin, OH as a Lab Tech. He currently was a Research Technician with Marathon Petroleum in Catlettsburg.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel by Pastor Mark Girard with burial to follow in the Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
