Joseph L. McGlone

Joseph Leroy “Joe” McGlone, 73, of Argillite, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at his residence. Joe was born May 19, 1946 in Ashland, a son of the late Leroy and Bernice Hennecke McGlone. In addition to his parents, Joe was also preceded in death by his brother Gary McGlone.
Joe graduated from Wurtland High School class of 1963 and attended the Brush Creek Freewill Baptist Church. He was an avid farmer, cattleman and independent brick mason. He and his brother Gary built many homes and businesses all around the tristate area and were well known for their quality work and craftsmanship. Joe also was a former maintenance supervisor with the Boyd County School System.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 54 years Deloris Hutchinson McGlone, sisters Clara Sue Phelps of Wentzville, MO, Judy Stewart of Argillite and a host of Nieces, Nephews and good friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th St. Chapel by Bro. Frank Hackworth. Entombment will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation for friends and family will be Saturday from 11:00am till service time at 1:00 at the funeral home.
