Joyce Lynn Thompson

Joyce Lynn Thompson, 61, of Greenup, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Joyce was born December 19, 1959 in Ashland, a daughter of the late Rushianna Franklin Barber and Clayton (Lynn) Barber of Gaston, South Carolina. In addition to her mother she was also preceded in death by a brother Tim Barber.
Joyce was a 1978 graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 44 years Dennis Thompson of Greenup, her children she loved Kevin (Jamie) Thompson of Greenup, Steven (Autumn) Thompson of Greenup, brothers Randy (Monica) Barber of Lexington, Brian (Sam) Barber of Westwood, her grandchildren she adored Kalob Thompson, Cristopher Thompson, Allison Thompson, Luke Thompson, Kadaynce Thompson, special nieces Amy Hawkins and Lori Beth Stewart, close friend Connie Hobbs, sister-in-law Donna Thompson, brother-in-law Danny (Steph) Thompson, mother-in-law Betty Thompson and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held 1:00pm Monday, June 7, 2021 at the STEEN FUNERAL HOME CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL by Pastor Edgar Nethercutt. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods
