Judith Ann (Porter) Hoffman

Judith Ann Hoffman, 88, of Ashland, KY passed away at Kings Daughters Medical Center on November 26, 2022.  She was born on September 9, 1934 in Ashland, KY to the late Henry Clay and Gladys Orndorff Porter.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Richard Darrell Hoffman in 2018, and her sister Harriet Chattin. 

She was a 1952 graduate of Ashland High School and still active in the Class of  ’52 Lunch Bunch, former Den Mother of Cub Scout pack #110, a 20 year KDMC volunteer, a Kentucky Colonel and a very active member of Bridges Christian Church.   Judy retired after 17 years from Ashland Children’s Clinic where she was a medical receptionist.

Judy is survived by her son Stephen R. Hoffman and wife Linda of Ashland, KY, grandchildren Amie Schwendemen (Denny Joe Stanley) of Ashland, KY, Kelli Schrode of Ironton, OH and Jonathan Hoffman (Samantha “Sam”) of Louisville, KY and great grandchildren Christian Hoffman, Nathan Inman, Ty Laughman, Levi Laughman, Toby Schwendeman and James Schwendeman. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM at STEEN FUNERAL HOME-13th STREET CHAPEL and will be officiated by Pastor Tom Lawson.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.  Visitation will be on Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM.
