Linda Susan Carroll

Linda Susan Carroll passed away on May 6th, 2022. Lyn was born on August 28, 1959, to the late Clarence and Irma Barber. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ron Carroll with whom she shared a happy marriage for 36 years.
She is survived by her son Jacob and her brother, James. She was happy to make Ron’s family her own and is survived by the many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews of the Carroll family.
After a difficult early adulthood, Lyn dedicated her life to creating a safe, stable home for Jacob and Ron. She worked many difficult jobs in food service and retail to help provide for her family and started her own house-cleaning business while homeschooling Jacob from 2nd-7th grade. She was also the primary caregiver of Ron during his battle with cancer, answering that call with patience and poise. She truly made a home; strength and honor were her clothing.
Those who knew Lyn loved her sense of humor and sharp wit. She made fast friends everywhere she went but none more important than those in her church family at Bible Baptist Church of Catlettsburg, KY. Lyn drew great comfort and strength from her faith and believed in salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
She will be laid to rest at East Ashland Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens on Friday, May 13,2022 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dennis Miles presiding. Funeral arrangements are under the care of STEEN FUNERAL HOME-CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL.
