Lisa Jo Carroll

Lisa Jo Clay Carroll, 54, of Ashland, peacefully passed away Monday, March 11, 2019 at Kings Daughters Medical Center with her loving family at her bedside. Lisa was born May 5, 1964 in Ashland, a daughter of the late Thomas and Francess Joann Perkins Clay.
Lisa attended the First United Pentecostal Church, Wildwood Baptist Church, Moore Street Tabernacle and Christ Temple. She formerly served on the ladies auxiliary board of the Ashland Eagles and Westwood Volunteer Fire Department. Lisa worked at several area businesses over the years including her first job at the former Shoney’s Restaurant, Ashland Giovanni’s, the former Hill’s Department Store and was a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Those left to cherish her memory include her brothers Steven T. Clay and wife Nancy, Daniel H. Clay and wife Cathy, Thomas S. Clay, II and wife Cheryl, all of Ashland, sisters Sheree L. Saylor of South Gate, MI, Beth Ann Robinson and husband Lyn of Greenup, KY and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
A memorial service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Russell First Baptist Church by Pastor Ken Gowin. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon till service time at 1:00 at the church.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to A.A.R.F or to a local animal shelter of your choice in Lisa’s memory. She cared deeply for sheltered animals and supported in many ways.
