Lucian Franklin Asbury

Lucian Franklin Asbury, 79, passed away on July 2, 2018 at South Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on May 21, 1939 in Wayne County, WV to the last Claude and Erma Adkins Asbury. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Janice Helton Asbury a brother Claude Asbury and a sister Wanda Leigh Asbury.
Lucian was a sheet metal worker and a member of Local 98 Union. He was also a member of 13th Street Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children Danita Hankins and husband Richard of Ironton, OH, Marlena Artrip and husband Mark of Russell, KY, Anita Blair Hampton of Morehead, KY and Dean Blair and wife Cindy of North Carolina; a brother Kelley Asbury and wife Bonnie of Catlettsburg, KY; a sister Patricia Adkins and husband Gene of Lewisburg, WV; Ten grandchildren and Ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel with Reverend Chuck Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 PM until service time.
