Maggie Senters Tackett

Maggie Early Smith Senters Tackett, 78, passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at Harbor Healthcare in Ironton. Maggie was born December 20, 1941 in Greenup, KY, a daughter of the late Leonard Brady Smith and Lethea Rea Shelton Smith Fenwick. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by husbands Billy Ray Senters and William J. Tackett, a daughter Teressa Lynne Senters and a brother James Arnold Smith.
Maggie was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a faithful Christian and a former member of the First Christian Church in Catlettsburg. Maggie was an excellent cook and had worked at several restaurants in the area.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children Billy Ray Senters, Jr. and wife Trish of West Portsmouth, OH, John Brady Senters of Ashland, Dianna Senters McKnight and husband Kenny of South Point, OH, Jamie Burton and husband Bryan of Four Oaks, NC, sisters Virginia Beth Reynolds of Ashland, Mary Catherine (James) Young of St Albans, WV, brother Johnny Fenwick of Charleston, WV, 8 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel by Steve Justice. Burial will be in the Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday prior to services from 12:00 Noon till service time at 2:00pm
