Marie Bell Blake

Marie Bell Blake, 91, of Ashland, KY went to her eternal rest on June 5, 2017 at the home of her son, Kevin Blake, in Federal Way, WA.

She was born December 7, 1925 in Ashland to the late Alfred M. and Mary Nell West Bell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Blake; brothers, Alexander, Alfred Jr., Kenneth Louis and Ralston Bell; and a sister, Jessie Irene Glass.

She was a lifelong member of Johnson Memorial CME Church, which she attended faithfully until her health declined.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Casandra (Garner) Ford of Frankfort, KY, Mary Blake of Shelbyville, KY, Carol (Charles) Jackson of Ashland, KY and Jennifer Blake of Lexington, KY; sons, Aaron (Kim) Blake of Tacoma, WA and Kevin (Kristeen) Blake of Federal Way, WA; sixteen grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Noon, Saturday, June 24, 2017, at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Daryl Williams and Rev. Denzella Letcher officiating.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday, at the church.
