Martha L. Cooper

Martha Lavonda Cooper, 87, of Ironton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Medina Hospital in Medina, OH. Martha was born December 26, 1931 in Ashland, KY, a daughter of the late Charles and Blanche Roark Borders. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Charles F. Cooper and a sister and brother-in-law Dora and Don Brown.
Martha was a member of the Hoods Creek United Baptist Church. She worked as a waitress in the Restaurant business for many years and in her earlier years as a dock worker for a local trucking company in the Cleveland area.
Survivors include her sons Charles F. Cooper, Jr. and wife Phyllis of Arkansas, Norman Ray Cooper and wife Vickie of Wadsworth, OH, daughters Judith Ann Holmes and husband Danny of Franklin, TN, Dora Darlene Williams and husband Lewis of Kansas, a sister Nora Grizzle and husband Bill of Westwood, KY, several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and good friends.
Graveside services will be held 2:00pm Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Aid Cemetery in Aid, OH. There will be no visitation. Steen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
