Martha Lou Prichard

Martha Lou Prichard, 90, of Ashland, departed from this life on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Martha was born April 29, 1931 in Ashland, a daughter of the late Allen and Bessie Brown Humphrey. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Stanley Prichard, brothers Allen, Curtis and Little Joe Humphrey, sisters Audrey Humphrey, Burnis Barber, Betty May and Alice Mae Lane.
Martha loved to work the Flea Market. She was well known in Wheelersburg, Gallipolis, Chesapeake and the Hillbilly Flea Market in Russell. She formerly worked at Pollock 's Jewelers in Ashland and loved to travel with her late husband in the family RV.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters Sheila Cartwright and husband Otho of Ashland, Teresa Henderson and husband Carl of Russell, brothers Johnny (Connie) Humphrey of Ashland, Raymond (Virginia) Humphrey of Ashland, grandchildren Allison (Rodney) Williams, Summer Cartwright, Benjamin (Angela) Henderson, great grandchildren Elise Hussey, Jay Cartwright, Toby Henderson and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th St. Chapel by Pastor James E. Pridemore. Entombment will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be Wednesday prior to services beginning at 11:00am at the funeral home.
