Martin Kelly West

Martin Kelly “Marty” West, 64, of Russell, KY, died peacefully at his residence on Saturday, January 1, 2022.

He was born September 15, 1957, in Ashland, Kentucky to the late David Edward and Martha Jane Smith West. In addition to his parents, a wife, Connie Hillard West preceded him in death.

Marty worked for many years in the Telecom Industry. His hobbies included fishing, welding and building smokers.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Karen Dunn West of Russell; daughter, Kellie Jo West of Austin, TX; brothers, David Shawn West of Lexington, TN, Timothy Neal West of Ashland, KY, and Matthew Grady West of Lexington, TN; sister, Jane Erin West of Ashland, KY; and his first grandchild due in May 2022.

The celebration of Marty’s life has been postponed. Service details will be announced when they are available. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions, in his memory should be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
