Mary A Jacobs

Mary Aline Jacobs, of Olive Hill, passed away Friday Morning, January 7, 2022 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Mary was born in Carter County, KY, a daughter of the late Lewis and Mona Mauk Lowe. In addition to her parents, her first husband Sam McCormick, her second husband, Henry Jacobs, daughter in law, Carolyn McCormick and brothers, Lloyd, Carmel, George, Elmer, and Arlie Lowe and her sister Velda Roe preceded her in death.
Mrs. Jacobs was a retired elementary school teacher. She started teaching in a one-room schoolhouse in Sulfur Springs, KY. She was a member of First Baptist Church in New Lebanon, Ohio and attended the First Baptist Church in Olive Hill.
She is survived by a son, James McCormick of Olive Hill, grandchildren; Andrea (Ray) Brown and Jennifer Knight, great grandchildren, Rachel (Derek), Kaitlyn (Jason), Danielle, Rebekah, Kaleb, Kenny, Sarah, Eleyna, Cale, nine great-great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to her caregivers, Bonnie Bowling and Mona Barker for their excellent care and support during these past few years.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the Gregoryville Christian Church, 3333 West US 60 in Grayson, KY. Private entombment will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum in Ashland.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 1:00 pm until service at the church.
