Mary A. Goldy

Mary Allison Goldy, 57, of Catlettsburg, passed away Tuesday evening, November 15, 2022 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Mary was born March 2, 1965 in Cincinnati, OH, a daughter of the late Leroy Sheley and Cathleen Weis Sheley Franklin. In addition to her parents a brother Chuck Sheley and a close friend Ruby Truitt also preceded her in death.
Mary was a 1983 graduate of Henry Harrison High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University in 1987. Mary was a graphic design artist with the Daily Independent in Ashland, KY.
In her free time, she loved spending time outdoors and cheering on her beloved Dallas Cowboys, Ohio State Buckeyes and University of Kentucky basketball.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Kevin Goldy of Catlettsburg, brothers Robert Sheley of Cincinnati, OH and John Sheley of Harrison, OH, a sister Pat Schaffer of Dayton, OH and a close friend and neighbor Doris Murray. Numerous additional family members including aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews also mourn her passing.
A service to celebrate Mary’s life is planned for a later date.
