Mary T. King

Mary T. King, 94, of Ashland, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Oakmont Manor.
She was born July 14, 1926, in Isaban, West Virginia, to the late John H. and Martha Hunt Tompert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank King; brothers, James Tompert, Cecil Tompert and Bill Tompert; sisters, Emily Stewart, Grace Stewart and Johnnie Daniels; and a nephew, J. Allen Stewart.
Mary retired following a 25-year career with General Telephone Company. She was a member of South Ashland United Methodist Church and the Ashland Oil Arcoettes.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Kathy K. (Gregory) Hall of Ashland and Susan K. (William) Bowie of Lexington; grandchildren, Hayley (Robert) O’Donnell, Harrison (Jessica) Saturley-Hall, John (Bethany) Bowie and Michael Bowie; six great grandchildren, Nora, Erin, Molly and Cillian O’Donnell and Ellen and Finnegan Saturley-Hall; nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of dear friends.
A private family service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at South Ashland United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith L. Katterheinrich officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
