Maude Ann Gussler

Maude Ann Gussler, 101, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Maude was one of twelve children born to the late James Mason and Ola Gallaher. In addition to her parents and siblings, she was also preceded in death by husbands Chester Henry and O.L. Gussler and a daughter Carol Diane Griffith.
Maude was a lifelong Ashland resident. She was a graduate of Ashland Senior High School and a loving homemaker to her family. She formerly attended Calvary Episcopal Church and held seamstress positions at both the former Star’s and Parson’s Department Stores.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Clarice Henry Clark and husband Charles of Lexington, KY, her grandchildren John Drew Anderson of Lexington, Lisa Machelle Nichols, Stephanie Nichola (Matt) Booth of Lexington, Great Grandchildren Brittany (Cory) Brown of Ashland, Jordan (Emily) Ratliff of Lexington, Logan Friley of Ashland, a great-great grandson Jack Henry Brown, a special niece Kelly Branham of Ashland, and a host of extended family and dear friends.
An evening funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the STEEN FUNERAL HOME CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL. Burial services will be held privately.
Visitation will be Thursday, prior to services, from 5:00 – 7:00pm at the funeral home.
