Melinda Susan Hable

Melinda Susan Hable, known by her friends and family as Mindy, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019, in Flatwoods, Kentucky. 

Mindy was born January 26, 1956 in Ashland, KY, a daughter of Shirley Crank Thompson and the late Wayne Franklin Thompson.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Suzanne Thompson. 

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, planting and tending to her flowers, sewing projects, working on her stained-glass pieces, painting and doing various crafts.  Mindy was also an animal lover and enjoyed sitting in her chair with her pups and playing with her grandcats and granddogs.  She also enjoyed sitting at her kitchen table with her friends and family talking and laughing. 

Those left to cherish her memory including her loving husband of 36 years, Kyle S. Hable; son Jeremey Lewis (Kelly), son Kyle S. Hable II (Joshua Carl), daughter Kaitlin Hable, grandchildren Kayleigh Lewis, Cade Lewis, and Abby Lewis, her sisters Melissa Thompson and Rebecca Carlson.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends that are like family. 

Funeral services will be held 7:00pm Tuesday evening, August 27 at Steen Funeral Home 13th street chapel with Bro. David Greene officiating.  Burial will take place 11:00 am Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Rose Hill Burial Park with Pastor Matt Shamblin officiating. 

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Steen Funeral Home.
