Michael Butler

Michael Butler of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 12, 2021. He will be lovingly remembered for his kind heart and generosity.

He was born in Ashland, Kentucky to Sam and Mabel Butler on December 28, 1951. After graduating from Russell High School, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and National Guard. He retired from Ashland Inc. after more than 35 years of service. Mike loved working outside, fishing, golfing, and following his favorite sports.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Karla, and their son, Nathan (Michelle) Butler. He is also survived by his siblings, Debbie Chittum and Larry (Vicki) Butler, many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jack Chittum.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm followed by a memorial service at Steen Funeral Home, 1501 Central Avenue, Ashland, Kentucky 41101 on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Burial will follow at Ashland Cemetery.
