Norris Gene Nash, Sr. 86, of Huntington, West Virginia, died peacefully at his residence, on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
He was born May 10, 1934, in Burnaugh, Kentucky, a son of the late James and Magnolia Cooper Nash. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rhoda Crofton.
Norris was a graduate of Douglas High School and Cabell County Career Technology Center. At a young age, Norris worked as a nighttime Cameraman at W.H.T.N. He went on to retire following a long career as an Electrician at Marathon. He served honorably in the United States Army. Norris was a licensed pilot and enjoyed many years of flying in his spare time.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 67 years, Gloria Mae Mundy Nash of Huntington; daughter, Robin Nash of Huntington; son, Norris Nash, Jr. and wife, Barbara of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren, La”Shana Nash, Eddie “Bear” Thomas and Norris Nash III; six great grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
A private graveside service will be held at Ashland Cemetery.
