Patricia Sue “Pat” Randolph, 82, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at her residence. Pat was born August 22, 1938 in Little Fork (Elliott County), KY, a daughter of the late Clyde W. and Josie Myrtle Salyers Hayes.
Pat was a longtime member of the Bashford Manor Baptist Church in Louisville. She was an administrative secretary with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Central Intelligence Agency in Washington DC. She served as a hostess with the USO helping entertain the men and women of our nation’s military. She also did administrative work for Delta Dental and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Pat was a loving mother grandmother and great grandmother. She was from a loving family and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know her, including her friends from the Blairwood Apartments in Louisville where she lived for more than forty years.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters Nina Bechtol (Wayne) of Louisville, Carla Ball (Harry) of Elyria, OH, brothers, Clyde Hayes, Jr. (Helen) of Georgetown, KY, James Hayes (Teri) of Flatwoods, sisters Joyce Carol Wood of Louisville, Alice May (Bill) of Hattiesburg, MS, Billie Jean Byer of Lexington, Sheila Simpson (Jim) of Lexington, KY, grandchildren Alicia Dirda (Roman), Christina Gatz (John), David Shawn Deen (Brandy), Brittany Miller, Corey Whitney (Kali), Joshua Randolph, Jeremy Klinect, Nicholas Paschall and Steven Paschall, 17 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th St. Chapel. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00am till service time at the funeral home.
Masks and social distancing guidelines still remain in effect.
