February 22, 1953 ~ June 10, 2019 (age 66) 66 Years Old

Tribute

Paul Wesley Conn of Ashland, KY, passed away Monday, June 10, at the Community Hospice Care Center.
Paul Conn was born on February 22, 1953 in Huntington, WV. He spent his younger years in Florida before making Ashland his home at the age of 20. He is the son of the late Carl Wesley Conn and Gaynelle Davidson Conn. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne Conn and Carl Phillip Conn, and by his sister Linda Conn Gooding.
Paul Conn worked as an over the road truck driver before retiring on disability due to multiple health conditions. In recent years, Paul collected donations for the Veteran's Outreach Center in Grayson, KY. He did this in honor of his father and brother who were both veterans of foreign wars.
His hobbies included playing pool, playing cards, and telling bad jokes. He was a huge fan of the Cincinnati Reds. His favorite thing to do was to “sing off-key” and he had several preferred places to perform karaoke classics.
Paul Conn is survived by his girlfriend, Tonya, his six children, Lisa (Donnie) Patrick, Lory (Butch) Scarberry, Michael Conn, Rodney (Bobbi) Osborne, Diana (Chris) Fortune, and Carlotta (Jesse) Lambert. He also claimed 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
At his request, there will not be a memorial service at the funeral home but there will be a memorial celebration of his life held Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm at the Steel Workers Hall on Carter Avenue across the street from his favorite Ashland Eagles. Paul preferred a party to a funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Steen Funeral Home or to the Community Hospice Care Center.
Condolences can be left at www.steenfuneralhome.com or offered in person on Wednesday at his party.
