Paul Edward Donta

Paul Edward Donta, 76, of Ashland, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at Community Hospice Care Center.

He was born in Ashland, Kentucky on February 22, 1947 to the late Bernard and Norah (Cross) Donta. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Christine Oakes Donta.

Paul served honorably in the United States Army during Vietnam and retired following a long career at Calgon. He previously served as a Deacon at Unity Baptist Church and was attending Gospel Light Baptist Church. Paul loved visiting and witnessing to people. He loved to build and race cars, golf, fish, working on and fixing cars. He loved animals and his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Sherri Ann Donta and son in law, Allen Abbott; brother, David Donta and wife Tonda (Keeton) Donta; nephew, John David and wife Susan (Burns) Donta; niece, Kimberly Jo Donta; and Brett R. Davis who was like a grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, at STEEN FUNERAL HOME 13TH STREET CHAPEL with words of comfort provided by Pastor Jason Porter. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
