Paul E. “Pete” Littleton, 93, of Ashland, passed away Sunday evening, Sept. 9, 2018 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Mr. Littleton was born May 17, 1925 in Ashland, a son of the late Estill Littleton and Bertha Worley Littleton (Robert) Boughton. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his son Gary Littleton, aunts and uncles Calmer and Mable Worley and Esther and Andy Elkins.
Mr. Littleton was a lifelong Ashland resident, a 1943 graduate of Ashland High School and attended the University of Kentucky. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Ashland, a devoted Ashland Tomcat Football fan and an avid fisherman.
After attending UK, Mr. Littleton worked for the C&O Railroad and the South Point Plant. He then went on to the Calgon Plant and was one of the “Sweet 16” men that started the Plant, retiring with 28 years of service.
He is survived by family members Dot Littleton, his daughter Terri and granddaughter Gaebriell.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue by Minister Michael McAllister and Gary Sparks. Burial will be in the Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
