Paul L. Pinson

Paul Lewis Pinson, 65, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday evening, August 28, 2019, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
He was born October 28, 1953, in Ashland, KY, a son of the late Eugene and Elizabeth “Ruth” Jackson Pinson.
In the early 80’s Paul served as President of the Boyd County National Little League. He went on to serve as SD4 Commissioner, baseball umpire and KHSAA Football official for 21 years. He was a faithful Tomcat/Kitten fan and was a proud Kentucky Colonel. He worked for 45 years as a Production Scheduler at SWVA KY formerly known as Kentucky Electric Steel and served honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a born again Christian who rededicated his life to Christ. He will long be remembered for his jovial spirit and willingness to help others in need.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 45 years, Sharon Crum Pinson of Ashland; son, Jon-Paul (Michelle) Pinson of Ashland; daughter, Melissa (Dan) Foutch of Ashland; brother, Bill (Silver) Pinson of Ashland; sister, Virginia (Boyd) Tipton of Ashland; eight beloved grandchildren, Haley-Sue Foutch, Ashby-Lee Foutch, Shelby-Kaye Foutch, Jackson Foutch, Jordan Pinson, Colten Pinson, Austin Pinson and Emma-Grace Pinson. He is also survived by a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2019, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with Pastor Keith Crum and Pastor Aaron Lambers officiating. Burial will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North East where military honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force and American Legion Kenova Post 93.
