Pauline Ross

Pauline M. Ross, 99, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away at her residence on Saturday, January 14, 2023.
She was born in Elliott County, Kentucky on March 13, 1923 to the late John and Della White Mobley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, John J. Ross, Sr.; brother, Lucien Mobley; and a sister, Wilma Mobley.
Pauline was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Ashland. She retired after 31 years of teaching in the Boyd County and Ashland School Systems. She was a member of Boyd County Retired Teachers, KEA and NEA.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Lucien M. Ross and wife Dottie and John Ross, Jr. and wife Linda, both of Ashland;  sister, Janice Gray and husband Clarence of Ashland, KY; grandchildren Susan Ross of Georgetown, KY, Stewart Andrew Ross of Ashland, KY, and Melissa Adkins and husband Dr. Henry Adkins of Ashland, KY; as well as five great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at STEEN FUNERAL HOME CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL with Reverend Gary Arrington Officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be from Noon until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
