Pauline "Penny" Wuerdeman

Pauline "Penny" Weight Wuerdeman, formerly of Ashland, peacefully passed away at the age of 95 on March 5, 2021 in Titusville ,Florida. She was born on May 3, 1925 to Clarence Deck and Beatrice Sharp Weight and grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and Ashland, Kentucky.

Penny graduated from Ashland Senior High School and the University of Kentucky, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She was society editor of the Ashland Daily Independent for several years after graduation. She also was a member of the Junior Women's Club, the Association of University Women and Calvary Episcopal Church where she taught Sunday School, was a member of St Elizabeth Guild and served as president of the Episcopal Church Women's organization.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Beatrice Weight; her husband, Thomas Lee Wuerdeman; her sister, Beatrice Matthews; and her brothers, Clay "Deck" Weight and Donald Weight.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne Pulley ( Marc ) of Clearwater, Florida; her son, Thomas Adam
"Tod" Wuerdeman ( Brenda ) of Mims, Florida; her granddaughter, Emily Wuerdeman Rupe ( Charles ) of Geneva, Florida; and great-grandchildren, Lorna and Wesley Rupe.

Due to public health concerns and weather, there are no immediate plans for a memorial. Family and friends will be notified of any future plans.
