Petra Hernandez Maravilla

Petra H. Maravilla, 76, of Ashland, KY, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 6, 2023. A daughter to the late Jose and Margarita Hernandez. She was also preceeded in death by her husband David Paul Sexton Sr.; long time companion Rafael Maravilla; and a beloved son Joseph Angel Sexton.

Petra was the most joyous person, always laughing and having fun. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing, but as she got older she enjoyed playing bingo, and going out the casino. At home she enjoyed drawing and doing crafts with her grandchildren, and teaching them to play cards and loteria.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, David Sexton (Christal) of Ashland, KY; two daughters, Margaret Corona (Freddy) and Mary Hernandez (Alex) of Salinas, CA; Thirteen grandchildren, Felicia (Manuel), Christina, David III, Isaiah and Adam Sexton, Mary (Michael), Elouise, Joseph Jr, Justin Sexton, Elizabeth and Veronica Corona, and Erica and Alexander Hernandez; and Twelve great grandchildren.
