Philip J. Barnes

Philip James Barnes, 80, of Ashland, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Mr. Barnes was born May 19, 1940 in Zanesville, OH, a son of the late Samuel C. and Gladys Gaumar Barnes. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his son Brian K. Barnes.
Philip worked many years in retail management. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Karen Phillips and husband Jim of Catlettsburg, grandchildren Jeremy Phillips, Ashley Fritz and several great granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held 10:00am Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel by Chaplain Jimm Smedley. Burial will be in the Zanesville Memorial Park in Zanesville, OH.
Visitation will be from 9:00am till service time at 10:00am
