Raleigh Allen Blair

Raleigh Allen “Chuck” Blair, 82, of Ashland, KY, passed away at King’s Daughters Medical Center on Monday, May 15, 2023.
Chuck was born in East Point, Kentucky on September 5, 1940. He was the only child of the late Raleigh and Connie Hatfield Blair. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emily Ison; and former wife, Betty J. Rice Blair.
He retired following a long career with A.E.P. and served honorably in the United States Air Force.  He was an ordained minister and previously served several churches. Chuck was an avid motorcycle rider and was a member of the Kentucky Motorcycle Association. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 93, Elks lodge 350 B.P.O.E., and Loyal Order of Moose lodge 892.
Chuck is survived by four daughters, Sherri Ison of Louisa, Gena Goble (Jim) of Rush, Tisha Noe of Ashland, and Susan Blair of Ashland; former wife, Tammy Blair of Ashland; stepson, Hunter Schafer (Abby) of Ashland; two bonus children, Charlie Johnson and Lazarus Poindexter; grandchildren, Brian Blair, Reuben Ison III, Alisha Williams, Erick Blair, Raven Osterfeld, Laura Noe, Thomas Noe, Karlie Blair, Layla Poindexter, Liearra Poindexter, Jayvion Poindexter, Killian Schafer and Lily Schafer; and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from Noon until 1:15 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at STEEN FUNERAL HOME 13TH STREET CHAPEL.
