Randall F. Noble

April 19, 1950 ~ October 23, 2020 (age 70) 70 Years Old

Tribute

Randall "Randy" F. Noble, 70, formerly of Ashland, passed away Friday, October 23, 2020, at his home in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Randy was born April 19, 1950, in Hinton, WV, to the late Barbara Milburn Noble and James Fred Noble.

A graduate of Boyd County High School, Randy served 10 years in the Army National Guard and retired after 30 years of service as a Kentucky State Trooper. A devout member of First Baptist Church of Cannonsburg and then Murdock Baptist Church in Port Charlotte, Randy was known for his generosity of spirit and constant willingness to help anyone in need. Whether vacuuming the chapel for services, mowing neighbors' lawns, or bell ringing for the Salvation Army, Randy was always giving his money, time, and talent to the people and communities he cared about.  He spent the last 19 years with the love of his life, his wife Terri. They enjoyed traveling, particularly their trips to the Holy Land in 2009 and 2011. An avid fisherman and kayaker, Randy often rode his bike up to 20 miles a day. His loved ones will miss his huge smile and warm hugs.

Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife, Teresa “Terri” Thornbury Noble, of Port Charlotte; sister Julie (Joe) Parker of Saddlebrook, Az.; brother Terry (Pam) Noble of Hinton, WVa.;  daughter Andrea (Jason) McGuire of Lexington, Ky.; and son Brandon (Heather) Noble of Carmel, In.; stepdaughters Kristen (Jeff) Abney and Tressa Preston of Norfolk, Va.; and grandchildren: Carter and Grant McGuire; Presley and James Noble; and Evan, Kate, and Liam Abney. Randy is also survived by one niece, two nephews, three sisters-in-law, and countless dear friends.

A memorial service was held at Murdock Baptist Church on Tuesday. A service will take place at Steen Funeral Chapel on 13th Street in Ashland Saturday, October 31. Visitors may call after 10:00 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am, immediately followed by a graveside service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Grayson. Pastor Stan Williams will officiate.
