Robert Edward Elswick

Robert Edward Elswick, 79, of Raceland, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, in Community Hospice Care Center.
Bob was born November 22, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Rudolph and Lillian Carter Elswick. In addition to his parents, a son, Rusty Elswick; sister, Delores “Deo” Tolliver; brothers in law, Ray Tolliver and Wayne England; and two nieces, Brenda Tolliver and Diana Bradley preceded him in death.
Bob retired following a long career with Ashland Oil Inc. He worked previously at CSX and served honorably in the Army National Guard. A well-known “Ford Man” Bob had a passion for cars and was very active in car shows where he won numerous awards.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 50 years Lana Davidson Elswick of Raceland; sister, Alfreda “Petie” England of Flatwoods, KY; grandson, Nathaniel “Nash” Elswick; nieces, Connie Jones of Rush, KY, Leesa (Phillip) Green of Rush, KY, Cindy (Richard) Moore of Rush, KY, and Cathy (Dwight) Sizemore of Flatwoods, KY; a nephew, Tim (Tina) England of Bellefonte, KY; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens with words of comfort provided by John Moore.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Community Hospice for the loving care Bob received during his final days.
