Robert (Rob) Allen Triplett II, age 48, passed away at his residence in Ashland, Kentucky on August 28, 2020.
Rob was a remarkably unique person who holds a special place in the hearts of many. There was a kindness in his soul and he never failed to make people smile with his witty humor and practical jokes.
Born in Ashland, Kentucky on June 25 1972, he was the son of Robert Allen Triplett and Naomi Kay Twinam, both from Ashland, Kentucky.
Rob earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture from Morehead State University. He worked for the UK Agriculture Extension Department and the Grayson Lake Golf Course.
Rob was known for his heart of gold and kindness to all. He was an accomplished musician, an especially gifted guitar player who loved entertaining his daughter and nephew with little ditties he wrote. He had a natural green thumb, loved to cook and made the world’s best taco soup and Pineapple Habanero Jelly.
In addition to his parents and step father James Twinam of Ashland, Kentucky, Rob is survived by his daughter Willow Grace Triplett of Mint Hill, North Carolina; sister Misty Kay Triplett, her son, Lennon Jude Maxwell Triplett, both from Ashland, Kentucky, step sister Jamee Lynn Twinam and her son Camron Ray (Lexi) and baby Bentley and a whole host of extended family and friends.
An informal reception with light refreshments will be held at Ashland's Central Park Bandstand September 6, 2020 at 3 pm. All are encouraged to share memories or thoughts during the memorial ceremony. Dress casual or in your favorite tie dye. Picnic tables will be available but are limited, so bring a chair or blanket plus your drums or musical instruments to jam after the memorial service concludes.
In lieu of flowers, Rob would have wanted you to plant a tree or garden and to spend time with your loved ones.
