Robert E. Wheeler

Robert E. Wheeler, 62, of Ashland, KY passed away at the Hospice Care Center on September 17, 2022. He was born in Paintvsille, KY on July 31, 1960 to the late Sid and Margaret McKenzie Wheeler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Laura Gibson Wheeler.
Robert was an avid car enthusiast. He loved to work on and restore cars or anything that had an engine. His love of cars also made him a fan of NASCAR. He also liked to work in his garden.
He was a shop foreman at Don Hall Chevrolet and attended Mavity Freewill Baptist Church.
Robert is survived by daughters Melissa Duncan (James) of Ashland, KY and Brooke Dye of Ironton, OH, a brother Richard Wheeler of Ashland, KY, a sister Joann Wheeler of Ashland, KY, grandsons Cody Dye of Savannah, GA, Kade Dye of Louisville, KY and Kyle Tussey of Washington Courthouse, OH, a granddaughter Nakeita Dye of Huntinton, WV, a great grandchild Jahkai Young and his Don Hall family.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 7:00pm Thursday evening, September 22, 2022 at the Mavity Freewill Baptist Church, 15596 Laurel Haven Ct. Catlettsburg by Pastor Brandon DePriest.
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm at the church.
