Roberta "Birtie" Musser

Roberta “Birtie” Bellomy Musser, 67, of Ashland, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 22, 2021, at her residence.
She was born May 1, 1953, in Boyd County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Bennie and Louise Estep Bellomy. In addition to her parents, one sister, Lanis Restelli and four brothers, Paul Bellomy, Tom Bellomy, Bill Bellomy and Russell Bellomy, preceded her in death. 
Birtie was a 1971 graduate of Boyd County High School. She attended Straight Creek Church of the Nazarene for 51 years and was a loving and devoted homemaker. She sang with the Straight Creek Trio and Crisp Family Singers for many years and was a former sales clerk with Hills Department Store and Kmart.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 46 years, Kenneth Musser of Ashland; daughters, Angie Musser of Ashland; Erin (Jason) Scruggs of Russellville, KY and Lisa (Jay) Skaggs of Portsmouth, OH;  two sisters, Betty Fields and Kay (Delbert) Vance all of Ashland, KY; four brothers, Richard Bellomy of Fayetteville, NC, James (Belvia) Bellomy of Winnsboro, SC, Darrell (Deanna) Bellomy of Sparta, TN and Ray (Sharon) Bellomy of Ashland; four grandchildren, Kimberly Nunley, Jayden McKenzie, Caleb McKenzie and Tyler McKenzie; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel.
A service celebrating her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021, at the funeral home with words of comfort provided by Rev. Jason Scruggs, Rev. Randy Biggs and Rev. Ray Bellomy. Burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
