Rodney Keith McKenzie, 53, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at his residence. Rodney was born January 3, 1969 in Ashland, a son of the late Mike and Charlotte Diane Earls McKenzie.
Mr. McKenzie served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Gulf War Operation Desert Storm. He was a true American Patriot. He was an overnight stocker with Walmart.
He was loved by many and will be missed by many.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Cindy Jane McKenzie of Ashland, her children that he considered his own, J.D. Riedel of Huntington, Chrissy Riedel of Ironton, Crystal Wilson (Todd), of Ironton, Brandi Burke (Ryan) of New York, his brother Kenneth Robert McKenzie, his sister Jamie Lynn Armstrong, grandchildren Morgan (John) Terry, McKenzee (Mitchell) French, Izaak Cox, Kaitlyn Wilson, Blake Wilson, Kiera Burke, Brayden Burke, Ethan Riedel, Jordan Riedel, Tristan Riedel, Abbey Riedel, a great grandchild Maddox French, his step-father Butch Kitchen and a host of extended family and good friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the STEEN FUNERAL HOME CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL by Pastor Matt O'Bryant. Burial with full military honors will follow services at the Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to services on Sunday beginning at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.
