Roland Franklin Brickey passed away May 28, 2021 after a brief battle with cancer.
Frank, as he was known to family and friends, was a member of Ashland First Church of the Nazarene. He was a graduate of Morehead State University with an Associate of Arts, a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration degree.
He lived a full life as an associate warden, US Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons; as owner of Build-Pro Construction; and as an active participant in Work & Witness mission trips. He was quick to share his talents, abilities, insights and resources to help others whether they were neighbors in his community of Neighbors around the world.
Frank was born November 18, 1957, the youngest child of the late Victor Sr. and Emily Brickey. He is survived by his wife Lola Brickey, son Hunter Brickey, daughter Lauren Coleman (JK), sisters Mary Thompson, Ruth Steele, Nella Payne, Cora Varvell, and brother Victor Brickey, Jr.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, June 28 at 11:00 AM at STEEN FUNERAL HOME-13th STREET CHAPEL and will be officiated by Chaplain Jimm Smedley. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM on Monday until service time at 11:00 AM.
