Ronald Lee Conley, Sr. 79, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
He was born March 27, 1940, in Ashland, Kentucky, a son of the late Cecil Clayton Conley and Mary Oliver Conley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Alan Conley; and a brother John Irwin Conley.
Ronald retired from A.K. Steel following many years of service. He was a member of Poage Masonic Lodge 325 F&AM and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and sharing his faith in Christ.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 60 years, Rosemary Arthur Conley of Ashland; sons, Ronald (Mary Lou) Conley, Jr. of Georgetown, KY, and Greg Alan Conley of Ashland; daughters, Belinda (Carl) Hunt and Cindy Conley (Brent) Jones of Ashland; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Jo Conley, Steven Conley, Joshua Cooper, Morgan Hunt, Christopher Hutchinson, II, Ashley Hutchinson Goldsmith, Brooklynn Jones, Brent Jones, Jr.; and 7 great grandchildren.
A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Pastor Mark A. Kloha officiating. Burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, and from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
