Rosina Wagenaar 81, of Russell, KY has passed away and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Rosina was born May 22, 1936 in Greenville, Michigan, a daughter of the late Lester and May Burchett House. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Jacob Wagenaar, a son Dr. Douglas Jay Wagenaar, brothers, Everett House, Marvin House, Harold House, Ivan House and her brother-in-law Charlie Jameson.
Rosina was a resident of Morning Pointe in Russell. Before moving to Kentucky, she and her late husband Jacob lived in Michigan. She was a loving homemaker having raised three boys and a devoted wife to her husband. She attended the South Ashland United Methodist Church in Ashland.
Survivors include her sons Richard Lee Wagenaar and wife Kristine of Midlothian, VA, Dr. Jim Wagenaar and wife Lynne of Ashland, sister Geneva Jameson of Springfield, MO. grandchildren Jessica Wagenaar Perkins and husband Tyler, Douglas Wagenaar, Caroline Wagenaar, Eric Wagenaar, daughter-in-law Martha Wagenaar of Beverly Hills, CA. and her friends and neighbors at Morning Pointe.
A memorial service to celebrate Rosina’s life will be held 1:00pm Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Oakview Community Church, 4242 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525.
Interment will follow at 3:00pm in the Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery, 2894 Patterson Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512, beside her late husband Jacob.
A scholarship was set up when Mr. Wagenaar passed away for science students who are athletes at Aquinas College. It is an endowment that is still active and helping students as of this date.
