Ruth Jean Runyon Jarvis

Ruth Jean Runyon Jarvis, 89, of Ellisville, Mo formerly of Ashland Ky, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Bethesda Meadows Hospice.

She was born September 7, 1929, in Ashland, Ky, a daughter of the late George W. and Verna M. Holmes Runyon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Runyon and Ronald Runyon, sisters, Ina Scott and Rosemary Farley.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joe E. Jarvis of Ellisville, MO, sons Larry Jarvis (Debbie) of Grayson, Ky., Joe Jarvis (Judy)of Bartow, FL and daughter Kim Jarvis Howes (Steve) of Wildwood, Mo, four grandchildren Jessica Jarvis, Joan Jarvis, Amanda Fickbohm and Adam Howes and four great granddaughters Chloe Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy, Mia Howes and Adalynn Howes, Ashland, Ky and loving nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Ashland, Ky and retired after many years with Star’s Fashion World, Ashland, KY.

Funeral Services will be held at Steen Funeral Home, 13th Street Chapel in Ashland on Saturday, August 24. Visitation from 10 to 11 AM and service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
