Sharon Gayle Barney

Sharon Barney, 82, of Ashland Kentucky, passed away peacefully May 24, 2023, at her residence. Born in Johnson County, Kentucky on September 27, 1940, to the late Emory and Shirley Combs Lyons. Along with her parents, her husband Charles Richard Barney also preceded her in death.
Sharon was a former member of the Mistletoe Chapter #144 of OES, member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #342 in Willard, KY and Ashland Elks BPOE #350.
Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Raymond Barney and wife Dawn of Ashland, KY and Emory Barney and wife Cindy of Salt Rock, Ohio, and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 5:00 p.m. Saturday May 27, 2023 at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with words of comfort by Pastor Danny Pancake.
Visitation will be prior to service from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. Following the service there will be a dinner at  Moore Street Tabernacle 2608 Moore St. Ashland, KY 41101
