Shirley Ann Daniel

Shirley Ann Christian Daniel, 65, of Ashland, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, December 25, 2021. She passed away from this life peacefully at her home. Shirley was born November 20, 1956 at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas where her father was serving in the military. Her parents Charles Edward Christian and Marie Reynolds Christian, her husband Eugene “Gene” Daniel and a brother Charlie Christian preceded her in death
Shirley traveled all over the world as a young lady with her military family. She also served her country honorably with the United States Air Force. She was a very active member of the Elks Lodge BPOE #350 Ashland and was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church.
Shirley continued her passion to help fellow veterans by working as a Ward Clerk for the Department of Veterans VA Medical Center in Huntington for many years.
Survivors include her sister Mary Jo Christian of Plano, TX, her brother James Michael Christian and wife Pam of South Point, OH and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel by Father D. Andrew Canon Garner, KHS presiding.
Burial will be in the Ashland Cemetery with military honors.
