Shirley L. Frasher

Shirley L. Smith Frasher, 77, of Nicholasville, KY formerly of Ashland, KY and Proctorville, OH, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. Shirley was born April 7, 1941, in Greenup County, KY, a daughter of the Late Charles H. Smith and Hazel L. Williams Smith Hall. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Ray Frasher, brothers, Keith Hall, Robert Hall, James Hall, Charles “Bud” Smith and her sister Marilyn Colt.
Shirley attended the Straight Creek Church of the Nazarene. She was a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother; not only to her own, but to unaccountable many.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son Michael Frasher and wife Victoria of Lee, MA, her daughter Renee Denney and husband Steve of Nicholasville, KY, a brother John C. Smith and wife Donna of Summit, KY, a sister Glenna K. Hopkins and husband Terrance of Patriot, OH, grandchildren Robert S. Frasher, Cory Jay Frasher, Jasmine Frasher, Chesnee Frasher, Mika Frasher, Bryson Denney, Andrew Denney and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th St. Chapel by Pastor Randy Biggs, burial will be in the East Carter Memory Gardens in Grayson.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon till service time at 1:00 Tuesday at the funeral home.
