Shirley (Fero) Murray

Shirley Fero Murray, 89, of Clay Center, Kansas, formerly of Ashland, Ky. passed away on March 26, 2019.   She was born on November 21, 1929 in Springfield, MA to the late George G. and Grace Reedy Fero.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Chester Murray. 

Shirley was a retired facility manager for Sonoco Products in Memphis, TN and was of the Catholic faith. 

She is survived by her son Michael Murray of Overland Park, Kansas and two granddaughters, Melissa and Melanie Murray.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel and will be officiated by Father D. Andrew Cannon Garner.  Burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00.
