Susan Tackett Brownstead

Susan Tackett Brownstead, 71, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday morning, September 25, 2019.

She was born February 20, 1948, in Georgetown, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Astor and Helen Rentschler Tackett.

Sue was a 1966 graduate of Paul Blazer High School and retired as a registered nurse after a long career with King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was an avid UK Fan, enjoyed working in her yard, spending time at the beach and most importantly spending time with her family members and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include two children, Allison Brownstead of Ashland; Ryan Brownstead of Lexington; sister, Nancy Tackett (Robert) Mowery of Birmingham, AL; and a grandson Lucas Brownstead of Ashland.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Susan’s memory may be made to the Boyd County Animal Shelter, 1025 Bob McCullough Dr, Ashland, KY 41102.
