Susan Diane Gallaher Eplion, 75, of South Point, Ohio, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, in the Hospice House of Huntington.
She was born November 10, 1944, in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Charles Clifford and Ruth Howell Gallaher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon K. Millis; and her beloved dog, Emma.
Diane was a graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School. At an early age she worked as a flight attendant but spent the majority of her life as a devoted homemaker. She was a member of Tri-State Baptist Temple and will long be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and contagious laugh.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, James Eplion of South Point, OH; daughter, Amy (Edward) Kucharski of Mission Viejo, CA; step sons, James Allen (Lisa) Eplion of Chesapeake, OH, Timothy Lee (Kimberly) Eplion of Huntington, WV, and Michael Taylor (Kathy) Eplion of Ona, WV; step daughter, Kimberly Dawn (William) Pugh of Huntington, WV; sisters, Phyllis Gallaher Milem of South Point, OH, and Linda Gallaher (Donald) Barker of Ashland; 7 step grandchildren, several step great grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
A private service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2020 at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel with Pastor Tim Jenkins officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
